   The reasons why we waited so long for a service, we Greatly Needed were simple. We were scared of what it would cost us. We got some really exuberant prices from other repair guys that seemed almost on the Shady Side. The second reason was we have major trust issues. We have our entire business on our computers and we were scared of that information being taken. Its nothing top secret or anything really valuable, but it's our private information, and it's priceless to us. With Eric, we could sense his honesty and he was so knowledgeable. We decided to trust in him and his knowledge. We are so glad we did, we are working so much more efficiently since his help. He was fast too, he was able to take care of so many problems we had. He was very professional and patient with us. Now if we have any computer issues, we have someone we know and trust.    I have an 8 year old HP laptop, which I expected to die at any moment, ran really slow, etc. It didn't die, and then I got a virus which prevented me from starting the thing up sometimes or running any programs. Eric from Honest Guy Computer Repair was great. He picked up the computer from my office and dropped it off the next day - right on time both times. The virus is gone and the operating system, which was corrupted, is re-installed - the computer works great. I don't think I lost any important documents during the fix. So, I would definitely recommend Eric and Honest Guy for your computer repairs. I didn't give the full 5 stars only because the repair wound up costing more than I was initially quoted. A bunch more RAM needed to be installed to make the thing work, apparently. I doubt this was any sort of "upsell", I'm sure it was necessary. But the RAM wound up costing about $45, instead of the $32 I had agreed to when Eric called to check in with me. They didn't have the $32 RAM available so I agreed to get the $45 RAM. Still, that's the only thing that could have gone better. I can't figure out how to give 4.5 stars, but that would be more like it. Very good work, reasonable price, nice guy, helpful, on time.

1. I was looking for someone with knowledge and expertise who'd visit my office, assess the problems, and explain what needed to be done. Someone who was honest and efficient and dependable and, most of all, someone who could repair the problem.

2. on a scale of 10? We'd rate Honest Guy....a 20!!

3. Very sluggish and no access to internet. It was a mess!

4. After repairs....the computer is full speed ahead...quick and easy to operate.

5. Honest guy only completed repairs two days ago....and we've already recommended them to both friends and family.

6. Final remarks are that Honest Guy was the finest computer tech we've ever worked with. Totally pleasant, efficient, and best of all.....the price was entirely reasonable. I would never call anyone else. NO need to go anywhere else. Honest Guy IS THE BEST!!!!

   I would rate my overall Honest Guy experience very highly. I was given a reminder call earlier in the day to confim the appointment. Erick showed up on time and quickly began to diagnose my problem.

2. What issue(s) were you having with your computer?

   I apparently had programs running in the background that prevented me from shutting down my computer. I would always have to wait after clicking the shut down icon until another popup window would come up. Then I would have to select "end now" to actually shut my computer down. If I just clicked on the shut down icon and didn't wait for the end now window to come up my computer would never shut down. I had worked with DELL support to try and resolve this problem and after trying several different things I was left with option to restore my computer to "out of box" which meant I would lose everything I had put on the computer since I bought it. Not an option I was willing to try. The other issue I had was I was never able to complete a successful backup of my system. I would get errors stating not all the files have been backed up due to files being in use. I worked with Norton support on this issue and was never able to solve it although we tried several fixes. I actually got to the point of looking to buy another computer because these issues were getting to be a nuisance.

3. What changes have you seen in your PC after the repair?

   This is the best part. I can now shutdown my computer like you are supposed to be able to - just click the shutdown icon. Erick did complete a successful backup - always a good feeling knowing your stuff is backed up if you ever need it. Erick also cleaned up my registry file and got rid of several pointers to non existent files and now my computer starts up much faster than it did before. I was getting use to haveing to wait for my computer to start up so I could use it, wow what a surprise that was to now not have to wait as long to get started.

   Yes. My computer now works like I want it to work. I actually enjoy working with it again. It's like taking your car for a tune up and an oil change and then you realize how much better it runs than it did before. I'm extremely pleased with the repair on my computer.

   First thing I am looking for is someone I feel I can trust. I felt that from Eric. When I made a appointment and set a time for two p.m.. Guess who showed up right on time! For me this established some trust. Next thing, I want someone who can fix the problem the first time. He seems to have done this.
